Author: Underground Press Syndicate Collective

Details: When the marketing of the counter-culture was hot, a "subterranean" magazine in paperback form was published by none less than Signet Books (NAL), then under the ownership of the very pro-establishement LA Tiems. The McLuhanesque format of the book reflected the turbulent 1960s and featured articles on The Black Panthers, the Vietnam War, underground comics, and the anti-Police state. This issue included articles by Irwin Silber, Jerry Takigawa, Hugh Romney on the Hog Farm, and more. Assembled by the Underground Press Syndicate Collective (aka Tom Forcade, founder of High Times). Issued April of 1970.
